How to produce successful and independent video content for social media?

This course is aimed to help you understand how YouTube videos are developed, produced and how they work within the social media context. 

The focus is YouTube's video platform and its ever-changing policies and strategies on how to create successful video content as well as how to earn money from the content you create.

Language: English but the lecturer also speaks German

We will touch base on how to choose topics for your videos, copyright policies for image and sound. 

We will answer many questions such as:

• • how does the YouTube music library work
• • how to earn money with your videos on YouTube
• • how to expand the potential for earning money with your video content beyond YouTube
• • monetization regulations on YouTube
• • what does advertiser friendly content mean
• • what are viral videos
• • which are good cameras to use for YouTube
• • what is a CPM rate
• • how editing videos for social media differs from editing for television and film
• • how does storytelling work for YouTube
• • is any topic taboo?

We will also look into alternative video editing options and software for YouTube and much more!

This course goes beyond being just an editor! This course is about being your OWN editor!

The course is aimed towards all people that wish to express themselves through the language of video within the social media context and wish to one day earn money with their videos. Age does not matter! 

Minimum knowledge of social media: owning an Instagram account and/or Gmail account and basic knowledge of use of at least built in cameras on smart phones. Basic communication skills in English.
